The FULL Story
Lake Dayz Inc was dreamt up long before a boat ever came into the picture. It started with Daniel and his wife Jessica. They are a couple who have been married for 10 years and together a total of 19. All of these years have been spent in Lake County. Through all the phases in their lives, being on the water of Clearlake has always been an anchor in their love for their community, their family and one another.
Fast forward and now they are raising their own family here and making a beautiful life for themselves. Daniel is a contractor who specializes in lake front properties, while Jessica is a realtor who gets to introduce people to Lake County. Together they have 2 children, who now share the same love for the lake as they do.
A few years ago, Daniel and Jessica were helping with the local youth center and got to interact with the kids. To their dismay, the majority of them have never been on the lake, don't know how to swim, or simply believed the water was poison. Imagine, living on the largest natural lake in California and never having the opportunity to go out on it and see our county from a different view. One that's surrounded by rolling hills of vineyards, a shore lined with beautiful lake homes, abundant wildlife flying overhead and jumping in and out of the water, the sun shining down, and our majestic landmark volcanic Mt. Konocti. This hurt... They thought if they ever bought a boat, they would be able to bless the youth of their community with the opportunity to experience what Lake County really is.
Their hopes are that by providing lake and boating experiences paired with water and boating safety, they can bond with the youth, show them that they can thrive in the environment they're in, that beauty is all around them.
Lake County has the 5th highest Poverty Rate in California. Most of our youth have never and in their everyday life, be able to get out on the water.
Daniel and Jessica believe that desire and continue to stay in Lake County and make a life for themselves because they were able to experience all the beauty our Lake has to offer. If having these experiences and memories can shape two kids growing up in Lake County into productive parts of this community, they believe it can do the same for others.
